About the Role
We are looking for someone who understands the commissioning landscape and can use research and innovation to build practical solutions to help commissioners support the needs of our communities.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, you will be working within a small Business Development team working towards financial growth targets.
The role requires someone that:
- Is skilled at building relationships internally and externally, able to articulate our vision to secure new working partnerships.
- Has outstanding writing skills.

Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)
Fixed term contract to March 2024
Grade & Salary: £38.141 (PO3 SP 39) per year, Band 6
Hours of work: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
Accountable to: CL MHST Supervisors and Clinical Lead
We have an exciting opportunity that has just come up as part EMHP/CWP career development scheme.
We are looking for 2 Senior Educational Mental Health Practitioners to join our team.
The post holder will work as part of the Mental Health Support Team, embedded within our CYP multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome–informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.
The post involves provision of low-intensity evidence-based interventions (one to one, group and workshops) to children, young people and their parents. Practitioners will develop an active presence within school settings and will contribute to the development of the Whole School Approach within schools.
The post holder will work in collaboration with other members of the MHST and where appropriate with members of the wider multidisciplinary team and signpost families to appropriate support.
The post holder will provide additional clinical support and supervision to Band 4/5 practitioners (min. 2) and have opportunities to work on school initiatives and assist with the day to day management of the service.
Finally, to contribute where appropriate, to service development and consultation to the wider MHST professional networks.

Whole School Approach to Mental Health Adviser

We have an opportunity for you to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST), working with children and young people and their parents/carers as well as school staff across schools in the borough of Westminster.
The Whole Schools Approach (WSA) to Mental Health (MH) Adviser will be a part of our Children and Young People (CYP) Services and will work to support schools in Westminster to develop a whole school approach to mental health. This will involve working with education settings to develop and upgrade their emotional wellbeing and mental health (EWMH) policies and procedures, embed EWMH activities and events in the annual calendar and support staff wellbeing. You will do so by delivering and creating a set of workshops for children and young people, parents/guardians and staff across the schools we are based in.
The aim of the service is to deliver a service that meets identified needs and gaps within schools and to promote a culture that is supportive of EWMH for all school stakeholders, within the model of a whole school approach to MH.

Assistant Psychologist/Data Analyst Central London Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
Fixed-term contract until March 2024
Grade & Salary: WM6 SP 29 (£29,527) equivalent to NHS Band 5)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours (full-time), Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
Accountable to: Clinical Team Lead
Due to expansion, we are looking for an inspirational Data Analyst/Assistant Psychologist to support our ongoing development. Our Mental Health Support Team started in October 2019 as part of BWW Mind new clinical service for Westminster children, young people (CYP) and families with mild to moderate mental health needs (Tier 2 CYP IAPT service).
The new service works closely with Westminster schools and provides interventions within the school setting.
Are you creative, dynamic and resourceful? Are you passionate about psychological thinking, research and looking for an opportunity to have a positive impact? Do you have high expectations of yourself, and want to be part of a dynamic new team?
This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role; based within a service, you will support a Clinical Team Lead and clinical team with interpretation and data flow for the service.
If you have:
- A passion to learn about new CYP IAPT service and implementation of outcomes framework and data analysis, understanding how services measure effectiveness and respond to emerging needs
- Graduate Basis for Registration (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (or equivalent)
- The ability to inspire, challenge and motivate, working with anxiety to overcome challenges
- The confidence, skills and abilities to support a team
- Excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligence, reliance and flexibility
- Ability to promote reflective thinking in teams
- The ability to work collaboratively as a member within a professional multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to hold a small caseload of clients providing low intensity CBT interventions
- A responsive, highly approachable attitude and the ability to support your colleagues in this challenging yet rewarding environment

Community Befriender
£9.50 Per Hour
Hours of work – as agreed with post holder
Community Befrienders support people with mental health issues to become better connected and engaged with the care they need and to develop connections with the community and mainstream services.
They help people develop self-management skills, confidence and self-esteem and to build social and community networks in order to foster social inclusion and improve quality of life.
They offer companionship to people who are lonely and isolated.
They can provide escort to and from appointments, support people with the tasks related to daily life (shopping or cooking together, paperwork and filing), attending the gym and other leisure activities, or just going for a coffee and a chat.
Community Befrienders are not mental health professionals, but trained befrienders who have an awareness of mental health challenges and a commitment to enablement and empowerment.
