The more people who feel able to start the conversation and talk to someone who may be contemplating suicide, the more chance we have of helping to prevent it.
Within South West London we have two Suicide Prevention Coordinators:
Community Coordinator
Our community coordinator has an excellent working experience of partnership and interpersonal skills in the voluntary, health and social care settings, leads on expanding and further developing the suicide prevention champion network across South West London using outreach activities and other opportunities to recruit more champions across South West London.
With their outreach approach, engagements, they provide and upskill communities, healthcare providers, voluntary sector partners to deliver suicide prevention and Mental Health messages, promoting services and support available to those who have been directly affected by Covid-19, working closely and linking in with community networks
CYP/Educational Coordinator
Our CYP/Educational Coordinator supports and delivers suicide prevention activities in identified clusters, including school communities, educational institutions, CMHT’s and children and young people’s health services and agencies. Providing strong signposting, educational and training resources in these settings.
